Who is Monnie D., Esq.?

There are opinionated New Yorkers… and then there are OPINIONATED New Yorkers. I’m the latter. Weaned on the Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers, I’ve always had a lot to say about my favorite clubs, and others for that matter. I brought this mentality with me to Boston, where after four years of college I now wear the insults hurled at me in New England’s backyard like a badge of honor. And like any New Yorker, I’m a bit of a loudmouth too. So I took my musings to the airwaves while broadcasting a weekly New York sports talk-radio show in the heart of Boston.

Then for good measure I went off to law school in New Haven, CT, to mix in some solid argumentation skills with that pull-no-punches attitude. There is, of course, my flip-side: the one that keeps an eye on pop-culture misfits, appreciates a legit night out in Chelsea, enjoys the company of the fairer sex, and considers himself somewhat of a movie buff… and that’s just the short list. Yeah, there are plenty of things that pique my interest, and I promise you’ll read about them all.

PS– I’m a Patriots fan. Sorry, but you don’t spend five hours in sub-zero temperatures during a champoinship parade, catch a glimpse of Bob Kraft doing the Harlem Shake, and then NOT root for the Pats. Call it the inevitable consequence of being situated in and around Kenmore Square for so long. Nevertheless, I’m back in the Apple and ready to talk sports with the rest of New York.
